-From 16th January 2004 to date is Staff Surgeon Department of Cardiovascular Surgery and Transplant,
Monaldi Hospital. During this period he took part to the scientific planning of the Department and was the
principal subinvestigator of every clinical protocol conducted at the Department. He participated to the
elective and emergency surgical activity of the Department and was particularly devoted to the field of heart
-From August 2010 to date received the High Specialty Office for the Outpatient clinics for Candidacy to
Heart Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Support participating to the organization of a Patient-

Volevo porre una domanda veloce: perché una complicanza di un impianto LVAD può essere l'insufficienza di cuore destro?
Purtroppo la risposta è si, l'impianto di un LVAD supporta il solo lato sinistro del cuore, quello più frequentemente colpito dalla disfunzione contrattile. La pompa artificiale inserita ha quindi bisogno di un corretto funzionamento delle sezioni destre del cuore. Il rischio di disfunzione del ventricolo destro esiste ed è legato in maniera importante alle condizioni preoperatorie del paziente. Si riferisca al centro LVAD/trapianto per esser calcolato il rischio in base alle condizioni preoperatorie e le sarà proposta una stima del rischio.
